Directions: From Vermont--Proceed to Rte. 9. Turn left at intersection with Rte. 9. At Georgia Pacific turn right onto Boynton Ave. Go to 4th light (Prospect Ave.) At the end of Prospect Ave. Sibley Hall will be straight ahead. Take a left and a quick right into the parking lot. Follow the signs to the workshop.
From Rte. 87. Take Rte. 3 Exit. Proceed down Rte. 3 toward downtown until you get to Burger King (on right). Veer right at the fork in the road. The next light is Prospect Ave. Turn right and follow above directions.

Participation certificates are offered at the completion of each workshop. In-service credit must be arranged by participants with their school districts.
Although primarily geared for music educators NLAOSA workshops are open to all. Each workshop has a specific focus and may attract different participants.
Orff Schulwerk is an approach to teaching music and movement. Educator and musician, Carl Orff felt that children should learn music actively. Orff Schulwerk combines singing, playing , moving, and speech in actively involving children in their music learning.

The Northern Lights Chapter consists of members from northern New York and Vermont. The chapter covers a large area with the center being Plattsburgh, New York. Plattsburgh is located across Lake Champlain from Burlington, Vermont and is 60 miles south of Montreal, Canada. Easily accessible by ferry or Interstate 87.
